Birthdays

Today we celebrated birthdays... Mine was in March, Tim's is next week and Andy's (Tim's dad) is tomorrow. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Today we met Auntie Karla out at the 10-01 club for a little celebration meal. She is so good to us. Tims parents came as well and got to spend a little extra time with the girls and have birthday cake too. Kaitlynn had fun playing with the noisemakers and drinking her water from a straw. Oh yes, Miss Bella Bean has decided that she is a big girl now and will be drinking her water from a straw. Don't let this fool you though because the minute she sees her sippy cup or a bottle she is all over them. What a goof ball. I am currently in my 15th week of pregnancy (I think) and am doing pretty well. I was going to post a picture of our latest ultrasound but "Bucky" Bronander still looks a bit alien-ish so we will be holding off on that. Why Bucky do you ask?... Well I have never felt so awful in my entire life. The past six weeks or so have been utterly exhausting. Between the morning sickness (throughout the day mind you) and the constant nausea (especially cigarette smoke) I have felt like crap, literally. A few weeks ago I caught some bug that made my lungs fill up with gunk and my poor urinary tract just cant keep up. But other than that I am peaches and cream... Actually I am starting to feel better. It started on vacation and has steadily improved since then. So over then next week here I should be good as gold... although my house could say a few things to the contrary. I guess I left it go pretty much the whole time I was sick. I did the bear minimum and now I have to pick up the slack... Spring cleaning anyone? :)

Its Cold Outside!!!

I know you are saying that "hey its not so bad outside" but my little family has been in Arizona for the past week and let me tell you... it was beautiful! I miss it already. I want to say thank you to all the Jones family for being so great to all of us. Dad had the best relaxation he has had in quite a while and it is all thanks to you! I must say that when we drove home from Milwaukee tonight it was weird not to see mountains off in the distance and our highways are DiRtY :) It just means we will have to start saving our monies for the next trip out west!

ARIZONA

This Spring break we decided to visit some of the family out in Arizona, Phoenix to be exact. We flew out on Monday (because it was Jade's weekend with Kyra) and got out there around 5 in the evening their time (we are two hours ahead here in Wisconsin). Kaitlynn did pretty well on the first flight but the second one was hell. She screamed literally the whole time, like an hour and a half. Everyone was shooting me the death stare and I felt like an idiot. Sorry people, she's a baby. Mom and Dad picked us up at the airport and the weather... we gorgeous. 70 is way better than the 40s we left. I immediately took off my socks and let my little tooties breathe. We stayed in a hotel this trip just because the little tends to wake up at night and Tim and I are both snorers, imagine that. So our first night we headed over to Jim and Eileen's to see the family and have dinner (which was great by the way). Kyra liked playing basketball and Kaitlynn was in awe of the mini swing they have. Tuesday we lounged outside at Jim and Eileen's again and caught up with Jerry my mom's other brother. We ran quick to target to get Kyra a new pair of sandals because the ones I brought we just not cuttin it. I guessed her foot size way wrong... whoopsie. That evening we spent at the local park and let the kids run wild (not really), but they did get to climb and play together. We had pizza and cake which was awesome because I haven't been outside like that since last fall. Kaitlynn's walking really came along on this trip and it was her first time playing in sand and sliding down a slide. She did pretty well but thank goodness for the big girls who helped her out a bit. Kyra got to ride in Uncle Jerry's sports car and loved it! My cousin Bobby and his wife had a baby boy while we were out here. His name is Zane Steele Jones... pretty cool huh? Wednesday we headed to the Grand Canyon which kyra and Timmy have never seen before. It was quite the drive through the mountains but we got there safe and sound. My stomach was not doin so hot but the big ol steak I ate for supper totally made up for it. Dad headed to bed early and mom stayed with Bella while Kyra, Tim and I headed off to the pool. It was cold and the hot tub was too hot (at least for prego me) so we headed off to bed too. Thursday morning we took to see the canyon. It was cold though... Like back home cold. So we bundled ourselves up and hopped in and out of the car as needed. All Kyra could say was "This is amazing." Tim mentioned that it was way bigger than he ever thought it could be and said thank you like a bagillion times. Kaitlynn was not allowed near the edge per me since I had had ridiculous falling dreams the past month or so. We tried to use her little monkey harness but she would have nothing to do with it. Little stinker. The drive home went well and we stopped by Bobby's to see the new baby. We then checked into hotel and went to our favorite restaurant, the Cracker Barrel. yum yum yummy!!! I love to eat there and especially to shop there. We did a little swimming and hit the hay. Friday we lounged by the pool at like the entire Jones family came to visit. It was awesome! I got a sunburn on a very delicate area and poor little Bella got the back of her calves pretty bad. I forgot how sensitive baby skin is. That evening we went to Rawhide... which is like one of my favorite places ever. I loved it as a kid, I love it as an adult and now Kyra loves it. I couldn't ask for anything better. I had another big ol steak and we all had a blast dancing after dinner. kyra finally climbed the rock wall and got to the top. I was soooo proud of her. As it got dark we all said our goodbyes and gave hugs. This was probably the fasted vacation we have ever been on. We flew out Saturday and it felt like we were only there a few days... what a blast. Cant wait to go back. Thanks to everyone for making it so special.

Sick

My goal this weekend is to catch up on my blogging. So dont be suprised when you check in next time and there are a bagillion new posts. I have been sick sick sick for the past two weeks and have done practically nothing. I even had to call in sick to work on Wed which for me is unheard of. This week my overall neausa was compounded by a bad case of the flu. But overall it is for a good cause because come September sir Timothy and I are going to be parents again. Thats right not only do I have the flu but a timy little person that is growing inside my belly. So the unfortunate thing is that when you are pregnant you are not able to take anything to feel better. So that is my boo hoo story... I will feel better soon. PS- I have decided that it must be a boy because only a man would do this to his mother :)
