Kaitlynn has been focusing so well lately. She is four and a half months old today. I can't believe how much she has changed in these few months. She is a bit of a chunker... buts its more to hang onto.

My Baby is SOOO Big!
So on Tuesday Kaitlynn went to the doctor for her 4 month check up. Can you believe its been 4 months already? Well, she weighed in at 15 lbs 8.5 oz and 25 inches long. She is definitely a chunker! We are going to start rice cereal hopefully next week sometime and praying it helps her stay full longer. The girl knows how to eat. She got her shots that day too. And she was a real champ. The only nice thing about her getting her shots is that she was super cuddly. This pic is from before... she was not smiley after.

Best Day EVER!!!
Today was one of the best days I have ever had! I know it is going to sound crazy but we did almost nothing and it was great. Mom and I started our day off with a 6 am rummage sale. Yes I know... but we have been having withdrawals! I got up at 500 and she picked me up at 530 (in the dark of course). We got there and it was so big we didn't even know where to start. Rummager's paradise. After the big sale we headed back into town and I got Baby Bella ready for a big day of relaxation. The five of us (mom, dad, Kyra Kaitlynn and myself) went to tundra lodge which is a local indoor water park. It opened at 9 and guess who was the first people in the door. You guessed it! We spent the whole day there. Kyra had so much fun she was skipping :) Mom and dad even went down the slides a few times, the lazy river and of course the hot tub. At lunchtime we took a break and went to the Olive Garden. I know... fancy livin... wink wink. It hit the spot. Then we headed back for the Tundra Lodge for an afternoon of swimming and laughs... and a few naps (ie: the sleepy rummagers). It was great... I hope to have more days like that!

Spring Break
Mom is off of school this week for her spring break. the really cool thing is that Dad took off to be home with her... Sorta (he can never really leave the office behind). The cool thing is that I got to see them everyday this week I think. Which is good and bad. It reminded me once in a while of being at home when i was younger. By the end now though, I have had enough family. It will be nice to go back to the normal routine. They got a few projects done though, one of which was putting shelving into my front closet. And i must say... Its awesome. I never knew I had that much room that I wasn't using. Mom also got some things done out at her house that she had been meaning to do. The big one was to take wallpaper down in her bathroom. But whoever put the last stuff in wanted to make sure it never fell down I guess because it is taking FOREVER to get it off. I mean really... do you really need to use that much glue?

Over a Week!
I can't believe its been a week since I have posted... Whew it goes fast. It doesn't help that I have been working different shifts and sleeping at really weird times. I just can never seem to get enough. Lets see... whats new? Well, nothing really. This past Saturday we helped Tim's mom and aunt start sorting/ cleaning at his Grandma's house (who passed away Feb 23). It was an interesting experience one because we sent little Kaitlynn out to mom and dads for the day (they loved it). Two because we were clearing things out which made it STRESSFULL to say the least. Thirdly... and frankly my favorite, the brothers (Tim, Andy and Jeremy) had fun breaking down old furniture to get it up out of the basement ie: an old pull out couch. They actually not only broke the handle on a sledge hammer but one on a pic ax too! They laughed so hard I was sure we would have to change some underwear :) It was great to hear them together... Interestingly enough we get to experience the whole thing again this Sunday, which is fine. But I don't think i necessarily want to give up my weekends for the next few months... not with rummage season coming up :)
This is a set of pics from Paula's page... I stolded them. Thanks Paula!

Out of Towners
This weekend our family from the LaCrosse area came to visit. My Aunt, Uncle and Grandma drove over on Friday afternoon and got here around 5ish. It was nice because AJ came home from Milwaukee too. It was a little family reunion. That night we went out for fish at the Settlement and went back to mom and dads to visit for a while. Saturday morning Bruce, Barb, mom and I went to a rummage sale at a local high school. We were rabid... my not sleeping the night before because I was so excited should have been a sign. I LOVE RUMMAGE SALES!!! So we went to that one and then the three of them headed to another one at a local church while I was off to school for a Saturday Anthropology class (not so fun). After that we met for "Buck Burgers" at the gas station and then we were off for a drive up to Algoma to do some wine tasting. It was awesome to just drive in the sunshine and catch up a bit. That night dad made us Lasagna and we ate in the dinning room (which never happens) and we were all pretty bushed. Sunday morning we met at Ponderosa for a $4.00 breakfast buffet and everyone split up after that... reluctantly, but it had to happen. You know when you have had a great time with someone and you don't want it to end... this was one of those times :)

Snowsuit
This is Bella in her snowsuit. Mom bought it for her last summer and we brought it along to the hospital to go home in. However, it was HUGE! The tag says its a 0-3month but I am telling you there is no way it is that size. Unless it was made for a giant infant with stretch Armstrong arms and legs. She was cute in it... just not practical. So we bundle her up the best we can... thank gosh she is of sturdy stock... wink wink!

Poopy and Poopers
So this is a picture of Kaitlynn and Spunky (who we call Poopers). We were practicing Bella's sitting up on her own and Spunky jumped right up on the chair. It was so cute I just had to take a picture. It is interesting because they are both aware of each other, but don't really care either way. She looks at him when he barks and he looks at her when she cries but that's about it. Oh, and they both sniff each other. I bet things will change once she is mobile. And by the way, little Kaitlynn rolled over from her back to her belly this week...Yah Baby!!!

I Heart Diet Coke
So if you know me at all, you know that I love my Diet Coke. I can't start my day without one. I think I am technically addicted... which I think is great. This picture is from the day that Bella and I were out at Mom and Dad's. We were sitting around the table after lunch and trying to entertain the baby. Mom kept making the bottle dance at her. Finally I guess Kaitlynn had had enough taunting because she reached out and grabbed it. Goofy Baby! I am always entertained by her :)

Family is awesome
I know Brad, Tara and Dominic didn't come to Green Bay to visit. But having them here, even though it was for a sad time, sure was great. We cried together, we laughed together and I think it brought the family together again finally. I think Alice (GiGi) would be very happy for us. Granted there were times this week when certain people were not willing to go with the flow... but people mourn differently. I am just glad that in the end we were all together when we sent Alice to heaven.
Today we went to lunch today to say goodbye to the Vegas crew. I hope they know how loved they are. Luckily we will get to see them again when we go out there to take the kids to Disneyland in California... I know, we're nuts!

27th Birthday
Yesterday was my 27th birthday... I am getting old! :) Anyways, since Tara was in town and it was a pretty emotional weekend (GiGi's funeral) she decided to take me out. It was a blast! We went to a bar that had an open mic night and there were a few different bands that played. We were a little nervous about the music at first, but it ended up being a really great time. I even played the tambourine (after much coaxing). It was the best time I have had in a very long time. THANKS TARA

Swimming pool
Brad and Tara stayed at a hotel right by the house (the same one as the wedding). They invited us to come swimming last night. Kyra just about lost it she was sooooo excited. She loves going to the YMCA, but a hotel is even better. Especially when you get to swim with all of your cousins! This was also Kaitlynn's first time in the pool. She did really well... that is until she got splashed... then she was done.
