Well our little Bella is learning how to eat. She's just over 5 months now and it is awesome being a Mommy!!! These are pictures of her with rice cereal all over her face. I have always thought that pictures of kids with food all over their face was super gross, but I will say that when its your own kid its a little different. Now I get it...

Entertainment
Have I mentioned in the past that my family LOVES entertainment? I am no exception. This is a little snapshot of my family on the couch enjoying video games... I know, I am a terrible example! Today we went with my parents to go see Monsters vs. Aliens. It was a rainy day and a great movie. We saw i in 3D which was cool but not necessary for the extra cost. But Kyra loved it! Little Bella on the other hand didnt do as well as last time... I think on our nect movie run she might stay home with daddy...

Wedding Bells
This weekend we went to southern Wisconsin to visit AJ and Anna. The purpose of our trip was to look at Wedding reception sites with them. We decided to go down early on Friday to get some swim time in. Mom and dad were nice enough to reserve a room overnight so Kyra and Bella could enjoy the water. Little Kaitlynn had blast in the H2O and Kyra practiced her mermaid moves. I have to say that I quite enjoyed the hot tub. It was a great time and I feel fortunate that we were able to go with them. Honestly I was flattered that AJ and Anna invited us and our opinions... what a pair :)

Talent show

Tonight was Kyra's talent show at school. She was a little nervous but she did well. It was awesome because they did tryouts and everything... she was pretty stoked. Kyra sang the Marines hymn. I wasn't all that familiar with it but she did very well. Her mom's boyfriend Will bought her little outfit which i know made her feel pretty special. You know what else made her feel special?... My best friend Jackie (Rocky) came to her performance and brought her flowers. I think that was one of the coolest things ever! We were talking about when we were kids and our parents would do something extra special like that and how good it made us feel. Little Kyra couldn't stop talking about it... "Did you see the flowers Jackie go me?"
Sharon, Andy, Karla, Jeremy, Tim, Myself, Jackie and baby Bella went to watch her. There were two times that she forgot the words but all in all it was a super job. She was up there all alone so i think two little pauses aren't such a big deal. I just told her that it sounded like the mic shorted out. At least she didn't cry like at her Christmas concert... We're movin along :)

Rummage Sale Weekend...
This weekend we had our annual rummage sale. It was the best weather possible and we sold alot of stuff... more than I thought we would. It was nice because Jackie sat with me on most of Friday and Paula sat with me most of Saturday, it was great. I have to say that having the rummage sale is probably in my top five (maybe 10) all time favorite things to do... I LOVE IT!!! You never know who is going to be buying your stuff and for how much. I love when people come up and ask me to go down on the prices of things. Usually I figure if they have the guts to ask me, I most likely am going to say "yes." If only it worked that way for me when I go rummaging with mom. Because you know I have no problem asking people to go down on prices at sales :)
This is a picture that I had taken a few weeks back. I dont have any picture of the rummage sale (although I wish I did) so this will have to so. I thought it was pretty cool...

Big Sister and Little Sister
Kyra is an awesome "Big Sissy." I can not tell you how incredibly proud of her I am. I wish she could be here to spend more time with the little one than she is. Every other weekend just isn't enough. I guess it will be better this summer when we have her all week and her mom gets her every other weekend... I just gotta wait one more month and I get her all to myself... and Paula and Sharon and Karla and my Mom and Dad and... okay its gonna be a busy summer :)
Oh by the way... HAPPY BIRTHDAY AJ!!!

Playing in the Barn
Kyra had a blast at the farm this past weekend. I am so glad that she gets to enjoy it like I did with my cousins when we were kids. I was surprised just how much she wanted to go down to the barn. I think she would sleep down there if we would let her. All I know is that the creek is her new destination. I am hoping I can get her to wait until summer... that's some cold cold water... trust me, I remember :)

Easter Sunday
Today was a great day. I always liked going over to the farm as a kid for Easter. We got up early this morning and went to church for 8 o'clock. It was a little chilly so i had kyra wear her sweater which she really did not want to do. Who makes these dresses anyway. Its not like we all live in California! I guess we should just make them wear snow suites or something. Whew... I digress. After church we stopped and got some seetrolls for breakfast. After a while family started showing up for dinner (lunch). I think this is when we discovered the microwave was broken... On Easter! So mom and I hoped in the car and headed for LaCrosse to get a new one at Menards. It was a white over the stove type but being the super shoppers we are, mom and I were successful in our mission! After the egg hunts and mini-dramas, this was one of the best weekends EVER... have I ever mentioned I love my life.

Saturday at the Farm
Today we got a few projects done at my grandma's. There was quite a bit of yard work to do and we had a blast getting it all done as a family. Kyra had tons of fun riding on the four wheeler to the burning pile and raked the grass like a pro. Little Kaitlynn had never really been outside so this was her first time. granted it was only five minutes or so... it still counts right?

Lounging
Today was a pretty peaceful day. We all just kinda sat around and visited with each other. My cousins Theresa and Kristina were off of work today so we went rummaging with them early this morning. Crazy I know, but it was soooo much fun and the prices were pretty great! I mean, who would have thought that a donut and a diet coke could taste so good at 6:30 AM? Well, they were. What a great life...

Visiting the farm
this weekend we are visiting family over in Sparta Wisconsin. That is where my father is originally from. My cousin Theresa had her son Brock 2 months after Kaitlynn was born. We actually had our due dates exactly eight weeks apart... isn't it funny though that life is not always on a schedule. I went a week overdue and she was a few days early. Ahh... as is life. Little Bella is definitely a peanut :)

Sleepover
Tonight our itty bitty is spending the night at Uncle Andy and Auntie Paula's, technically the weekend I guess. I have to work twelve hour nights Friday, Saturday and Sunday and its Tim's birthday weekend. I know this sounds weird... but I am a little jealous. I cant explain it but, I am glad that Kaitlynn gets to play with her cousins, well as much as a baby can. We are so lucky to have family that really loves her and wants to be around her. And Paula will give her a bath which is awesome! Bella loves to be naked (as you already knew) and Paula doesn't mind havin a baby butt hanging around. Its a win win situation for all of us!

We are going to call you MOUTH
Kaitlynn can not stop putting stuff in her mouth... Its almost ridiculous. At first I thought it was cute and I was excited that she had actually found her mouth. But now its kinda annoying because you cant get her to stop... unless there is a nuk or a bottle in there. We are planning to try and start rice cereal this week which should be interesting... I am not sure though... we might be starting something we are going to regret :)
