Its HALLOWEEN!!!

Yah! This is the best day of the year... its better than Christmas!

We started our great day off with a Corn Maze. Rather the largest Corn Maze in the state. AJ, Jennifer, Andrew and I headed up to Sturgeon Bay to take on the 10 miles of maze this morning. We dropped poor Anna off at the Library to study (damn PhD) and headed out. It was cold... I mean really cold, so we bundled up and trudged through the rows and rows of corn mazes. Before we set out though, we all took a turn milking "Bessie" in the gift shop. But anyways, yes there was alot of corn to trudge through. At the time it really wasn't all that fun, but now looking back it really was a good time. I am gld we did it.

On the way back down to Green Bay we stopped at the famous DykesvilleBowl and had ourselves some cheese curds. We washed em down with a few Budweisers and a frame of bowling.

We got back in time to start getting dressed as Timmy was picking up the babers to go visit his parents. This is the first year that we have taken Kyra Trick-Or-treating with my parents and not Andy and Sharon. I know it was a little disappointing for them but I really am grateful that they let us share this experience with my Dad. So here is a run down of all the outfits:

Jennifer: Dorothy

Andrew: Scarecrow

Carlos: Cowardly Lion (courage)

Mary: the house that fell on the wicked witch of the East... and then turned into a bird... I think

Mom: Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty... or just plain nuts (she had fun)

Anna: cute and friendly witch

AJ: the fattest ballerina on record

Trina: some sort of AsIaN creation

Tiimy: Man with Beard and TUTU

Kyra: ganster... not to be confused with Gansta

Kaitlynn: Raccoon (with black eye taboot)

Dad: guy with cancer... not feeling the greatest

We had so much fun running from door to door and yard to years. Kyra, Anna and Carlos were skipping and singing "We're off to see the wizard." I think this was one of the best days of my whole life. After we were done we came home and had Dad's famous lasagna...De-licious. Unfortunately this was Jade's weekend to have Kyra so she had to go home but they will be back for Christmas!

Curley's knarly teeth

Today Jennifer and Andrew flew in a little after 2pm. Mary, Carlos, Mom, Kyra and Babers went to go pick them up while I stayed behind to quick write a paper for school. AJ and Anna showed up around 3pm and within minutes the rest of the crew was behind them. You couldn't ask for better timing. Andrew and a few other wanted to check out Lambeau Field and we weren't sure what to do for supper, so we voted for Curley's pub in the atrium. We decided with the packer game this weekend against Minnesota that we better go as early as possible so as not to run into big crowds. The rest of the city must have been thinking the same thing (that the stadium would be busy) because there was literally no one there. We had the place to ourselves. Dad used one of his many connections to get the Texas crew down by the field to take pictures... I swear he knows just about everyone in Green Bay or at least someone everywhere we go. Anna and I shared a burger and beer flavored mac & cheese... not bad at all. Because it was so very empty we busted out the "teeth" and took some group photos... I told we have fun wherever we go!

Tonight we were originally planning on hitting up a haunted house and corn maze but number one its chilly number two its drizzling and number three everybody is a little tired. So we stayed in and watched some movies. This is about the time that AJ decided to try on the witches dress Mom and I picked up at a rummage sale... what a goof!

Goats on the Roof?

So today we ventured out to see what Door County had instore for us. I am taking an art class that requires 5 locations that are "Outsider Art" related... weird... and I love it! So Mary, Carlos, Kyra, Mom, Kaitlynn and I packed up into the van and headed north-ish. We started in Sister bay at Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant. There are supposedly goats that munch on the grass covered roof all day long. Well, unfortunately for us, it was a bit brisk and the goats were brought in for the winter. (not in to the restaurant but rather the barns). It was still cool anyway. We sat down in this big room that was decorated with all things Swedish. Even the servers were decked out in thematic clothing. Kyra especially enjoyed the "Butik" which was essentially their term for gift shop. Kaitlynn on the other hand was more concerned with the lingonberries (jelly) which she licked from her plate... what can I say, she loved em.

After eating a later lunch, we headed to our next stop... PC Junction. This is a little hole in the wall bar in Fish Creek. It was AWESOME! You place your order around a large central bar and it comes to you on a train... I am serious! Its delivered on a train. Kyra was so excited and even more so were Mom, Mary and Carlos I think. We had a blast eating our ice cream and dancing to the oldies.

What a great day!

Bucky Bagder

So we have recently found out that Bucky Badger is Kaitlynn's new buddy. She just LOVES him! Mom and I picked up this dancing doohickey at a rummage sale and it has been well worth its 50 cent price tag ever since. It helped her learn to crawl, it helped her stand up and for sure helped her dance. Now the test is seeing if Mr. Bucky Badger can coax her into walking. Not that I am in all that big of a hurry to have her motoring around any more than she is already :) I have a feeling that "On Wisconsin" will be a favorite of hers for years to come... what an odd child... Polka?

Trick R Treat

tonight was another infamous scary movie night with my bestest bud Jackie (otherwise known as Unkie Jackie). We realized that little Kaitlynn will have been watching scary movies her entire life... like literally. Tonight she was so cute because she just kept giggling at all the scary parts. Which honestly I am sure she didn't know were scary. But none the less, our little girl likes horror films... I am so proud. I was discussing with my mom the other day how cute it would be to have her dress up like Chucky next Halloween... she didn't think that sounded all that cute.

Kaitlynn got in the spirit of dvds too when she started pulling them out of the cabinet. I found it particularly adorable that the one she is holding for the camera is a movie that Timmy watched almost every day when I was pregnant... Isn't that weird?

Tuckered out

Kaitlynn Bella Bronander was trying to help me out with folding the laundry but she was just too darn tired. She passed right out, face first into a pile of warm laundry... I thought it was too cute and I had to share it!

Family photo shoot

Today we headed into the woods for a family photo shoot. Paula net us there and did an awesome job in such bitterly cold conditions. Not to mention the fact that not all of us were feeling the greatest. Kaitlynn and Kyra were getting over colds, my mom was a little preoccupied with my dad, who in turn was sticking it out just long enough to get a few shots before he headed off to the ER. He was feeling a little light headed and his mouth hurt alot. So we snapped a few family pics and AJ and Anna rushed him to the hospital. Turns out that everything is okay, he was dehydrated and the soars in his mouth ended up being canker soars from the chemo... they gave him some fluids and a script for morphine... nice huh? (well not really I guess) Here are a few samples... she really did a great job. Thanks again Paula!

Kohler Art Museum

Today Mom, Kaitlynn and I headed down to Sheboygan to see the Kohler Art museum. It was one of the "hits" on my assignment list for school. I have to say that I am surprised that I have never been there before...its so me. The art is a bit out there but what art isn't? We had fun walking through and taking pictures. There are six bathrooms in the museum that different artists were able to use as blank canvases. Some even used the sinks and toilets. My favorite is the toilet in one of the women's restrooms that say "around and around and around." There were even sculptures from Dr. Evermore's there. I took some pics of Bella with the mini village out in the gardens. She looks like a Baby-Zilla. Ha! I cant wait to go again... I think Timmy and Kyra would really get a kick out of it. Its hard to find things that our little family wants to do in common. Mom and I had to leave Dad home this weekend. He just finished what we are hoping is his last round of chemo for a while. The first weekend after is really hard on him though. Which honestly worked out well because I guarantee all he would have said is "this isn't art, its junk!" You gotta love him!

Your Horns are Showing

Miss Bella Baby has figured out how to open the fridge... and she loves it. The problem is that I cant really leave the door open on the fridge for her to play. So here is a picture of her before and after. It is funny because when she gets upset there are a few furrows in her forehead that look like horns. So Timmy and I always say "Your horns are showing." What a little stinker!
