This weekend we went to the
wedding of my father’s cousin’s daughter over in Sparta. Kyra was not
able to make this trip over because she was going to Great America with
her classmates in band. She had done some fundraising earlier in the
year and now it was time for them to celebrate their hard work this
school year. So it ended up being myself, my parents and the two little
bambinos headed over to Sparta. Wisconsin is known for its construction
during summer so we had to try and find the most direct route to
Grandmas house while still getting to the cookie factory in Ripon before
it closed… and we made it- Success!!! The girls were stokes and I would
be lying if I didn’t tell you that the adults were pretty pleased as
well. We made the trip over with very little issue and was even able to
find a park on the way to stretch our little legs and large voices on.
We enjoyed supper at our favorite restaurant over that way called the
Village Inn which is in Bangor, Wi. When our tummies were full after a
delicious Friday fish fry we meandered back to Grandmas house to visit
for a bit before bed. In the morning we were greeted by Theresa and
Mason (the youngest of her three boys) and we loaded up baby Via, myself
and my mother into Dad’s SUV and we were off to pick up my other cousin
Kristina--- for some Rummaging--- woot woot! Kaitlynn wanted to stay
back with Grandpa and Great Grandma (her total favorite person in the
whole world). We were discussing one day that because mommys and daddys
love each other they decide to make little boys and girls and that’s
where she came from--- mommy and daddy made her. She waited a few
moments, made beautiful eye contact, stuck out her right hand and said
“No Mommy, Jesus made me.” It was adorable!!! We found a few sales in
town and ended up staying out and about for a few hours. We were put on
the mission of finding Grandma a table that she could put her plants on
to keep the dogs and animals off as she would not be planting a garden
this year… no small feat I tell ya--- nearly impossible I fear. But we
had to stay possible--- we are Rummagers--- we can find anything!!!
The girls and I were not able to
make it to the church portion of the celebration but they had and
awesome time at the dinner and reception. I have to say that having two
little ones and trying to carry food for both of them and myself, not to
mention wrangling them in line so they don’t get lost was quite the
feat. Lucky for me my parents were both there too so we all took a
little extra plate and it ended up working out great. The weather was
hot and so the reception hall was a little warm especially when people
would open the doors from outside… which was also a little frustrating
as it was the smoking deck. We at the Bronander’s home have been smoke
free for a while now but the stress of the night running after these
girls made it extra tempting- hahaha. But we made it through the night
with no issues. The girls danced the night away with the cousins and my
parents. They even got to take a picture with the beautiful bride and
her camouflage-themed hubby (it was cute as they are an avid hunting
couple). We even made it through me throwing away my aunt barb’s car
keys (her only set by the way). But lucky for me because my cousin
Kristina helped me dig through all the bags of garbage and can you
believe it--- We actually found them!!! (only a little potato on the
them).
