Kittens and Mittens

Miss Bella Bean has decided that life is more fun if you are wearing mittens... as you can see from this photo. But she had the darnedest time getting a good enough grip with her hands covered. She is always trying to do things the hard way, like drink her milk. Luckily I am proud to say that we are off the bottle other than total meltdown moments... so that is great. Timmy wanted her off by one year and my goal was by two so we compromised at 16 months. Next is potty training... but hopefully there will not be any mittens present for that escapade... but knowing Kaitlynn there very well could be :)

Toilet Paper Baby

So this is a picture of Bella right after she was caught unrolling the toilet paper in the bathroom. As you can see she took it upon herself to put it back together for the next person who uses it. What a little stinker! And then she looks at me like "Whats the big deal Mom?" Life is always interesting with a little one around. We have elected to close both bedroom doors and the bathroom door upstairs while she is awake so she cant explore too much- and by that I mean make too big of a mess... its exhausting picking up behind her!

Country Song

So I feel like I could write a country song right now. Everything in my life feels like it is falling apart and on Saturday night I had myself a mini-meltdown, and cried... and cried and cried and cried. I was proud that I kept it together when I had to but it all sank in around 1230 am and I fel apart in the tub. Now everything is okay... because I am a strong independent soul but holy cow, I have had just about all I can take. So this is how my song would go... I have been sick for two months, coughing and throwin up, Timmy lost his job, and we still got the bills to pay, my baby sitter just quit so even if he gets it back he still cant work cause we cant afford daycare and my little unborn baby in the belly may be sick. Argh... I cried and cried and cried. I guess I am used to controlling things in my life and at this point all these things are out of my control. Can I just click my heels together and go back three months when I felt better and my life was not out of control?... So yesterday morning I drove out to my parents and I crawled in bed with my momma (who by the way is sick as a dog too) and asked her to help me, cause you know Mommy's know best. She reminded me that I have gotten through tougher times before, which is definitely true. I just thought we were at a point in our lives where all our hard work would pay off and we were going to live with less stress... Guess I was wrong. All I have to do is breathe... Whoosah... everyone is still alive right. I was reading "Night" which is about the Holocaust and it helped me get myself into perceptive... things can always be worse. But what I have now decided is that I have been too nice and stretching myself too thin for other people. It is now time for me to take care of myself and my immediate family. I am going to concentrate on what is most important to me and make the best of this... Whoosah... Whoosah.

PS- thanks for the prayers

New Truck

So I promised a picture of Timmy's new truck and here it is. Ironic that I decide to post it right after I have informed you that he has lost his job...ah, life...it just keeps getting more and more interesting.

Easter

Today was Easter. It really wasn't a big deal for us this year because I had to work and it was Jade's weekend to have Kyra. My parents asked for Kaitlynn on an overnight and seeing nobody else requested her for Easter I figured why not? So she headed over there on Saturday afternoon and stayed for a sleepover. She is getting pretty good at being away from mommy and daddy which I don't like so much but I guess is a good thing. I worked until 7 am and was up for noon to head out there for a little Easter lunch. AJ and Anna were in Milton so it was just my parents, Bella, Tim and I... which was nice. Afterwards I went back to bed so that I could work again that night. Its weird how when you work such long hours it never seems like you get enough sleep. We will be celebrating with Tim's family next weekend :)

Happy Joes

Today Timmy came home from work early and I could just see it in his eyes... it wasn't good. Turns out yesterday was his last day of work for United Health. There was some mix up about time off and vacation and PTO... very confusing. Needless to say though it didn't matter because he was greeted at the door with all of his belongs neatly packed into a box. What a crappy April fools joke... except its no joke. He has the option to contest the decision which we are definitely going to do so we will just have to wait and see. To help us take our minds of Tim's horrible luck we decided to go to Happy Joe's and let Kaitlynn play a little... and eat ice cream which always makes you feel better. She loved eating off the salad bar- eggs and black olives are her favorite just like Kyra was. But she did sneak a bite off Daddy's pizza every once is awhile... sassy. We filled our tummies and then headed out to play a few games. Kaitlynn wanted to ride on the carousel but it was a little dangerous for her so we sat her on top to take a quick picture and then we on to other adventures. Usually I wouldn't have let her ride in the little truck but it was only a quarter and she totally loved it... I wonder if we can get ones of those for her room?

Independant play

It is so cute to watch Kaitlynn start to play on her own. Up until recently she has always wanted someone to be with her. That is unless she is doing laps around the house... that she can do on her own. Now though, she goes through her toys and will set them all out to see which one suits her that moment. It is so cute because she will bring them over to you like its a brand new discovery and say "WOW." Don't get me wrong, she still would much rather play with someone else especially her sister and cousins, but she is finally getting her own rhythm down.
