Bay Beach

Today we went to Bay Beach with some of our family from the Western side of the state. It seems like we have been so lucky to have our family come to visit us this summer. It has flown though... it feels like just last week that we were getting ready to go to California and now its a month and a half later. Wowzers! So after a great morning of rummaging with the family (mom, Kyra, Kiatlynn, Michelle, Nikki, and grandma) we had a quick breakfast at my house and a little tour. Dad had recently put in some rocks where the wood chips were in the back yard so we had to show them off a little bit. then after some fruit and long johns (great great breakfast) we headed to Bay Beach with my dad. Mom, Kaitlynn and Grandma headed back to the house to get some much needed R&R. We had fun at the park... even though miss Kyra Jean did not like having to share the ride itinerary with anyone. She is pretty used to being able to pick whatever ride to go on and this time she had to make a few concessions. I know she wasn't all that happy about it but I guess that's how we learn to share... and Lord knows with her sister she'll have to :)

Harry Potter

Today was the opening of Harry Potter who Kyra absolutely adores. She used to call him "her man." and i am certain that because i put that on the blog and she reads it from time to time, that she will give me a bit of her newly found attitude. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that the girl is starting to become independent... but whatever happened to my sweet little peanut. It seems like just the other day she was running around Wal Mart with me in her tutu and rain boots... Sigh... Anyways, it was Tim, my mom, Kyra and I that went. And not to give away the ending... but it was pretty sad. I guess it would have been more emotional for me had I seen the last two movies and actually understood what was happening in the story line. Last time I checked harry Potter was worried about spells and magic not girls... I guess all things change. Poor Kyra probably had tears running for at least 30 minutes after the end of the movie. She is such a good girl :)

Lemon Face

This is the face that little Kaitlynn gave us after my father fed her a lemon. At first she puckered up just like this picture because of how sour it was. But after a while she almost liked the taste...what a weird baby. He wanted to try a pickle but I had to save that face for her Daddy. If you are wondering, we are eating at the Cracker Barrel right outside of Milwaukee. We all love that restaurant... especially a certain Carlos Soto who we all thought of right away... so here's props to you Carlos and Mary... we love you!

Circus Parade

Today one of my mothers life long dreams has come true...we went to the Circus parade in Milwaukee. I'm not kidding, its a pretty big deal (Google it). We had such a good time too. It was hot and sunny but every once in a while there was a cool breeze that came in off the lake. Mom, Dad, Kaitlynn and I got down to Milwaukee this morning around 1030 or so. The parade started at 130 so Bella and Mom and I went sightseeing around our bleachers. Dad decided to stay behind and save our seats, even though they were reserved. I guess people camp out overnight for this thing just to get good seats. I guess it makes sense. The parade is only put on every few years or so. The last one was in 2002 i think. Anyways, so us girls went to go see the Milwaukee Art Museum since it was so close. But being the very fiscally sound folks that we are, we chose just to check out the gift shop and the coffee bar. Like I said, it was pretty hot today so we actually put Kaitlynn in the fountain to cool off. SHE LOVED IT! It was pretty darn cold too... After killing a few hours we took our seats up in the bleachers by dad. And the parade was awesome. It is something that although Kaitlynn will not remember, I will never forget. Thanks mom and dad for giving me the opportunity to experience such awesome things!

Diva-licious

Miss Kaitlynn Bella Bronader is such a little diva. Its adorable because she will always let you know when there is something that she needs even its just to be cuddled. She is now just about 7 and a half months and boy is she changing. No teeth yet but we think she is teething based on the Niagara Falls amount of drool she produces daily. She has also gotten up on her knees a few times and is rocking a bit which leads us to believe that she will be crawling soon... better go buy those baby gates. Who knows though, the little Stay puff marshmallow man leggies she had may impede her crawling... she just cant get those chunkers to behave. So then, when she is angry, she scrunches up her face and will sometimes literally growl at you... its adorable!

Happy 4th of July!!!

Today is the fourth of July and it is awesome to have so many people around for a change. I spent the majority of the day shopping and rummaging with my cousin Theresa. We brought our babies (who are 2 months apart mind you) just so that our parents didn't feel "stuck" with them. But it was great! I think those little bundles (actually they are both pretty big) brought us some great luck. Theresa found a bouncer for Broch and bunch of other stuff. I have to say that I filled a few paper bags myself... but who's counting. That night we set off a few extra leftover fireworks from the wedding back in 2007. They were pretty but Miss Kaitlynn Bella was not so thrilled with the sound... Frankly she cried. You know that whimpering, lost puppy, sying cry... well that's what it was. I felt so bad for her. But she got over it just about the time that Owen started playing with the ginormous sparkler. It was dangerous... but really really here.

Bay Beach

This weekend we are being visited by our family from the western side of the state. My grandmother, godfather, aunt, cousin and her two boys came over to spend the holiday with us...and it was GREAT! We went rummaging this morning (duh, its Friday) and we did pretty well. After that we met up with the rest of the group and we headed to the park. Owen had so much fun riding all the rides. Even the babies were amused with the action, although i think they were more interested in their bottles and a nap more than anything else. After a few hours, we headed for a quick bite to eat. Supper that night was at The Settlement (yum yummy)... chicken strips of course. But before we could go out to eat, Timmy and I had to go pick up our cars from the dealership. Ahhh... don't want to talk about that anymore :)
