First Day of School

Today was Kyra's first day of school, and man was she excited. She has had her outfit picked out for months and everything was planned down to the tiniest detail. She coordinated her headband to match her dress, her earrings matched the snaps on her shoes and her socks complimented the very faint stripe in her skirt. Whew... So anyways. Miss Kyra Jean is starting at a new school this year. Her mother ended up moving to a new school zone so she had to leave Beaumont and start at Red Smith. Which should sound familiar because that's where Mom used to teach. Isn't it funny how things work out. Mom would have loved to have had her there when she was teaching, and now that Kyra is actually going there, mom has moved on to a new school. Life is weird sometimes. Anyways, last night we had gone to the meet the teacher night so that Kyra could meet her teachers (team teaching) and to see where her locker and desk were. Luckily for her the bathroom is right across the hall from her locker. For those of you who don't know the little princess well, this is a very good thing. All in all I think she is going to be happy here. It is a much larger school, which means she wont shine as much as a bright student. But I think it is going to help her with her much needed social skills. Here's hopin not too much though ;)
