Sledding with the cousins

Today we all went sledding on Danz hill right by our house. It was really a good time. Dominic hadn't played in the snow since he was a wee little one and the girls were more than happy to show him how. It was a bit of a challenge though because Dom and Tara of course didn't have any snow gear living in Las Vegas. So we used some of our extra clothes to bundle them up. This is a picture of the group before we went out... pretty stylin huh? Tim and Brad stayed home with Bella. Those party poopers!

Things happen for a Reason

I have decided that things happen for a reason... Tonight Tim's grandmother passed away. She had been ill for quite a while. But you are never really "ready" for someone to actually die. I feel like she should have been able to see Bella more... but it wasn't in the cards. Tim is actually doing quite well inspite of all thats going on. He was able to say his goodbyes a few times in the past few weeks so he is at peace with it. I will never forget about a month ago when we were visiting her... I was heading out to go warm up the car (its cold here you know) and Alice (we call her GG) told me to put on a hat because otherwise I'd get sick. So I put on my hat and within seconds she was just laughing at me... regular old, gut bustin laughing at my silly hat. Thats how I am going to remeber her... she was a strong woman who didn't take life too seriously. She is deeply loved and will be truely missed... But we are going to remember her in our laughter.

3 months?

So miss Kaitlynn is 12 weeks old today. I am not sure if that makes her 3 months old or if we have to wait until next Wednesday the 25th. Either way, she is growing up way too fast. Just last night we bumped her up to 5 oz for her bottles. This also means that we have to use the bigger sized bottles. Tim and I put the little ones away for future use (wink wink) but not before I pouted about my baby growing up too fast. Sigh...

On her last weigh in she was exactly 12 pounds. Wowzer! Tim ended up taking her to the pediatrician last week to get checked out. Both he and I had ear infections and we were worried she might have one too. But luckily she is healthy as ever and happy as can be.

On a happier note Bella is starting to smile ALOT. Its great because she is beginning to recognize everyone. It makes those midnight feedings of the past worth it. We aren't sure who she looks more like, her mommy or daddy... its a toss up. I think Tim wins though since they are both "baldies." :)

Hippo for Christmas

This is Kaitlynn and her hippo. She loves it. I realize that babies are entranced by pretty much anything but let me tell you... this guy works. She got it as her first stuffed animal in the hospital. Later I gave one to each of the girls for Christmas(Kyra, Cassie and Kalli) so they all could have a "Hippopotamus for Christmas." I cant tell you how many times I have heard that song... good thing I LOVE it!!!

Whose your Valentine?

Last night we went to the movies. Who you ask? Well it was myself, Kyra, my Mom and Dad, and little wee Bella... yes I know... who in their right mind would take an infant to the movies. Well it is an interesting story. I typically would have left her at home with her daddy, but Tim ended up going into the Emergency Room because he broke out into awful hives. We still don't know what from... but he's okay. A little steroids and some benadryl and tada... all fixed.

We went to see Madagascar 2 at the budget theater. It was awesome (not the movie but the company...the movies not that bad though). Little Kaitlynn was having a great time just a bouncin on Grandpa's lap and kicking her chubby little legs. I haven't seen her that content... well ever. She made it through the majority of the film but got tuckered out at the last minute. So she and I rocked in the back row while Kyra and Mom danced around the theater to the closing credits. I know its little weird... but it keeps life interesting. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Unkie Jackie

I have found that there are a few people in your life that without them, you just wouldn't be the same. For me... that person is my BFF Jackie :) She and I have been buds since kindergarten and I can't imagine life without her. I know we might have gotten each other into trouble once in a while, but it made growing up an interesting adventure.

Luckily Kaitlynn will be able to know her too. I just hope that some of Jackie's awesome personality and tremendous spirit rubs off on her. Even if she doesn't think she is a "strong independent woman."

This pic is of a recent movie night. Bella's fussy time is around 8pm but Jackie takes it with stride. Although I am sure her ears are ringing when she leaves the house...

P.S. Spunky is a real fan too!!!

Am I cute or what?

This is a little outfit that miss Anna Antos bought Kaitlynn. I had to take a picture of it... cause its so darn cute. The only problem is that if you look really close at her cheek and her nose you will see that they are red... that is because I scratched that s*it out of her face with the Velcro on the bottom of the onesie. She cried and I cried right along with her... the joys of being a parent.
