So, as a handful of you know, today my father is having surgery. They are taking out the bottom of his esophagus (throat) because last week his doctor found a mass. He has had multiple scans and tests done to make sure he was fit for surgery and it appears that he is. Nobody is using the "C" word (at least not out loud around my mother). So as of today at 10:00 am he will be under the knife and it should take around 5 hours... Let's all pray for him.
