The February before Olivia was born we traded in Timmy's green truck for this SUV. I must say that it was very nice to us however it just didn't do all the things we wanted it to. Granted both the car seats fit (baby backwards) but it we didn't love it. So a few weeks ago one of Tim's friends said they wanted to get an SUV again and Tim had mentioned that he wanted to get back into a truck again since both girls are forward facing in their car seats now. Well it turns out that his buddy offered to buy Tim's truck from us... which I am surprised never crossed out minds at all- that we could sell it. So he was off trying to get approved for the loan and we started to look at possibilities. We had the loan pain down to under the blue book of the SUV so honestly we were in great shape. After a few days of looking at new vehicles and finding a few that we liked we stumbled across this truck that was exactly like his old one only a newer version. There were less than 50,000 miles on it and they asking prices was less than what we had on our current vehicle- we were hooked. But the bad news came when his friend called to tell us that he was not approved for the loan. We then had to call the dealership and break the news that although we were totally in love with the truck we were going to have to pass. It was at this point that the man at the dealership offered to buy our SUV outright... I didn't even know this happened. We were so stoked! They paid almost exactly what was left on our loan and then we financed the new truck (less than our current loan for the SUV) and it ended up saving us like a 100 bucks a month. WIN WIN my friends- we love it... and have called the new truck Big Blue :)
